Background
The Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen collects, preserves, develops, presents and mediates works and materials works from all eras of German and international filmmaking. Besides exhibitions, a television media library, numerous film-specific archives and collections and a library, they organize numerous events, film festivals and programs in Berlins cinemas.

For the visual concept and redesign it was important to show the wide range of offers and make it more visible and accessible to the public. To achieve this aim we developed a clear and user-friendly structure and navigation and created new overview pages e.g. “Collection Digital” or “Our Archives” which guide the users through the content. Historical content is presented visually attractive with large images and videos. The website is designed and developed responsive for desktop and mobile and complies the WCAG standards.

Exhibitions, Archives, Collections, Film Festivals and Cinema Programmes

The archives of the Kinemathek includes 26,500 films / 40,000 videos / 9,000 broadcasts / 25,000 posters / costumes / 3D objects / photos and much more
